[Tutorial] Perfecting Lashes Everytime || Stubborn Asian Lashes

New video up! I share my mascara routine for full long curled eyelashes.

Please excuse the no makeup face, as I wasn't going to go out for the day, I didn't want to put on a whole face of makeup. As a side note, the primer doesn't help much for lengthening lashes despite having fibres in the tube. For one, they do not attach on evenly. So even if you do get lengthening, it's only for a few eyelashes.

Additionally, the perversion mascara tends to smudge. Thus, I refrain from using it on the bottom lashes as there are days where I look in the mirror and wonder how long I have looked like a panda. Little exaggerated but it does smear on the bottom lash line.

Product list:
☆ QVS Eyelash Curler (black one with spring)
☆ Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer Super Longlash
☆ Urban Decay Perversion
☆ Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus

[Review] Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion Swatch + First Impression

Once again I have fallen prey to opening a new bb cushion when I have a ton still half used. This time it was the Innisfree Ampoule Intense BB Cushion. In the colour #13 Light Beige (lightest from the range).

I really did enjoy the product! It was long lasting, had SPF (SPF34 /PA++) and decent coverage that made my skin look natural. Although it was slightly drying towards the end of the day, I would recommend this product.

BEFORE                                                                          AFTER

As you can see the coverage is very decent; I did layer the bb cushion on areas that needed more coverage (layering didn't look cakey). My dull complexion is instantly brightened! P.S. I used concealer under my eyes since the bb cushion wasn't able to conceal my eye bags.

  • 15g
  • No refill included although they are sold separately
  • SPF34/PA++
  • Comes in 3 shades (#13 Light Beige, #21Natural Beige, #23 True Beige)
  • I purchased it for $23.40 on Twofacemall

  • Light to medium coverage - natural finish
  • Dewy
  • Light weight
  • High SPF coverage
  • Decently priced
  • Moisturising - although I would not recommend for those with extremely dry skin
  • Doesn't oxidise throughout the day - I didn't notice any colour change after the initial 10-15 minutes
  • Quick and easy application

  • Doesn't completely cover flaws - you will need concealer for more prominent pigmentation and dark circles
  • Slight grey/white cast when on camera

[Review] Innisfree Creammellow Lipstick: Swatches #2 #3 #5 #8 #9 #10

So, today I will be introducing the Innisfree Cream Mellow Lipstick! These lipsticks became a favourite very quickly. So far, I own 4 and have already purchased another 2. They are too nice to~ I first heard of this product through Pony, who is a makeup artist who does videos on youtube. I have bought countless amounts of makeup from Innisfree because of her recommendation and they look so good on her. Great marketing tactics if I must say so myself.

The packaging itself is very plain, the boxes look the same for every colour - disappointing but what can you do. The packaging of the lipstick has the colour indicator on the bottom which is very helpful. The colours are very true to the ones in the bullet.

Let's begin! Here are the swatches on my hand.

#8 Moisture Water Red, #10 Latte Brown, #9 Blueberry Burgundy, #3 Cream Coral

I have made a video of close up swatches on my lips. I tried my best to stay in focus - sorry it's hard when your camera has a noisy auto-focus - so I used manual focus.

The lipsticks have a lasting power of 3-4 hours as long as you do not eat. Drinking doesn't smear the lipstick too much but it will transfer. Re-application is necessary after eating. The lipstick glides on very smoothly to a glossy lipstick finish! LOVE!

As for the scent, it is very subtle and pleasant smell that is consistent through all the colours... a very light peach bubblegum scent.

I usually do a gradient look with these lipsticks, they are great for it.

  • Buildable colour
  • Highly pigmented
  • Reasonably priced: $13.40USD
  • Lasting power is decent considering the finish (3-4 hours)
  • Moisturising
  • Disguises chapped lips
  • Transfers easily

Overall, I really REALLY enjoy these lipsticks. I recommend that you at least try one! I can't say enough praises for these lipsticks. Once I receive my other 2 colours (#2 & #5) in the mail expect either another separate post or an update on this one. Here is the site I found them on if you are interested.

#5 Sweet Peach Butter; #2 Cozy Vanilla Pink

#5 is a bold crimson shade that is suitable as a pop of colour with natural makeup, it really brightens the complexion. The colour in the swatch is true to the appearance on the lips! Glossy finish with no shimmer.

#2 is a peachy/coral shade that is very wearable! Very subtle shimmer and glossy finish.

I have liked these two colours very much on top of the four I originally owned, I am very tempted to purchase the remaining shades but I shall resist. If I were to pick just one to purchase it would be #3 Cream Coral, I naturally gravitate towards this shade most frequently as it is natural, wearable and very pretty. It just gives your lips a really nice natural yet noticeable hint of colour. Did that make sense? Anyways it's just a really nice colour, period.

2014 Korean Dramas

I will consistently update this post with the Korean dramas I watch during the year. Being an avid Korean drama junkie since very long ago (since early 2000s) I hope to share my insight into another year of my drama watching addiction. (Click for 2013 Korean Recommendations)

Future updates on dramas will be on

Bride of the Century

Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Melodrama
Episodes: 16

Lee Hong Ki as Choi Kang Joo
Yang Jin Sung as Na Doo Rim/Jang Yi Kyung
Sung Hyuk as Jang Yi Hyun
Jang Ah Young as Lee Roo Mi

Taeyang Group is a large conglomerate run by the Choi family. The family has a curse passed down for a century, that the first bride of the eldest son will always die. Kang Joo is engaged to Yi Kyung who disappears right before their engagement party, lookalike, Doo Rim is brought in to take her place.

When I first heard of this drama I easily overlooked it but having some time I watched it (2015) and I loved it. I don't remember why I even easily overlooked it... I can guarantee you will enjoy this series, it is slow begin with but the pace picks up early on. I find the series held my attention in its entirety, which is uncommon as I usually drop dramas half way through. You won't be disappointed with acting, the cast is pretty spot on. Yang Jin Sung, the female lead, does an awesome job portraying two different personalities.

Pinocchio (피노키오)

Currently Airing

Genre: Melodrama, Romance
Episodes: 20

Main Cast:

Lee Jong Suk as Choi Dal Po/Ki Ha Myung
Park Shin Hye as Choi In Ha
Kim Young Gwang as Seo Bum Jo
Lee Yoo Bi as Yoon Yoo Rae

Ki Ha Myung and his family have been falsely accused.. His father is a firemen, he lead his crew into a burning building because the boss told them there was still two remaining staff in the building (specifically the boiler room) - the firemen enter and the building soon explodes as the petrol catches alight - the two men weren't actually in the building. The news covers the story - blaming the father (a guy in the neighbourhood who has Pinocchio Syndrome says he had spotted their father).
